Venice

Thought I would upload some pics from a recent trip to Venice. We were only there for three nights but it was definitely enough time to explore the city. When we arrived at the hotel we found out we had been upgraded to a room with a huge terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, we couldn’t believe our luck! On our first day we just walked around the narrow streets, window shopped and took lots of photos. In the evening we had a lovely supper here and managed to get a table without having made a reservation. We sat in the terrace part of the restaurant which has a super view of the square outside. At one point a group of Italians began to sing opera in the square, certainly an experience! The next day we visited Burano and Murano which again were just beautiful. Be warned though, the glass factories offer a free water taxi from your hotel to Murano. When you arrive you are given a whistle stop tour of the factory and it’s very difficult to leave without buying anything!
